Este filme é uma adaptação ao cinema da peça de teatro "Migrações", escrita e interpretada por Sandra Hung. Esta peça já foi apresentada em vários pontos chave do circuito cultural nacional, sofrendo algumas alterações ao longo do tempo.  Este filme retrata o processo de luto de uma Mulher Portuguesa Negra pela morte de seu pai, num diálogo com as suas origens multi-culturais e multi-raciais. Numa analogia constante com a misteriosa e mágica vida migratória das tartarugas marinhas, esta Mulher tenta fazer as pazes com o seu passado familiar, procurando o seu Lugar no Mundo.

This film portrays the mourning process of a Black Portuguese Woman for the death of her father, in a dialogue with her multi-cultural and multi-racial origins. In a constant analogy with the mysterious and magical migratory life of the sea turtles, this woman tries to make peace with her family past, searching for her Place in the World. "Migration" is a film adaptation of the play with the same name.
